Morpheus Theatre is looking for volunteers to help us renovate our new rehearsal space as part of - Ready, Set, Create!

After several years of planning and searching for a new rehearsal space, Morpheus Theatre is pleased to say that the search is over. We are excited to announce that over the next few months we will be moving into our new home in the Parkdale Community Centre.

Since announcing this move at the end of March, we have been busy working with the architect and the City to secure the proper permits so we can start tearing down walls and building the new rehearsal studios, collaboration room and offices. Unfortunately this process is taking longer than expected. We are currently hoping to kick things off toward the end of June.

Volunteers Needed

In the meantime, we are recruiting individuals that we can call on who want to volunteer their time to help tear-down, build, paint, or even move. If this sounds like you, please give us a shout at (403) 246-2999 or email tickets@morpheustheatre.ca

Stuff We Need

In addition to time and money, Morpheus is also in need of stuff to help with the renovation and move. Check our website often for the latest.

Stuff we need to get the work done: Sledge Hammers, Pry bars, Work lights, Shovels, Wheelbarrows, Ladders (10ft+), Portable scaffolding, Hammers, Drills, Table saw, Circular saw, Measuring Tape, Extension cords, Level, Moving truck, Furniture dolly, and much more. All of these items will be returned when the renovations are complete.

Building supplies: Lumber, Drywall, Nails, Screws, etc.

Equipment: Sink, Dishwasher, Microwave, Water purifier, Desks, Bookcases, Costume racks, Plastic Storage Bins.

Services: Roll-off bins, Concrete cutter, Electrician, Plumber, Framing, Drywall, Painter, Locksmith, & Truck rental.

Ready, Set, Create!

During The Mikado we also announced details of our first major fundraising campaign, Ready, Set, Create and our goal of raising $50,000.
