Morpheus Theatre is Pleased to Finally Announce our 2020/2021 Season!

As we begin our second quarter century, we know that the season ahead will be unlike any that we have presented before. As with nearly everything this year, we will be exploring a variety of delivery formats to meet the needs of our volunteer cast & crew and our patrons. We hope you will join us for another season of Shows Worth Seeing!

NOVEMBER 2020
Murder, If You Will: a Quarantine Murder Mystery
by Janet St. Germain

Our fall show will be a co-production with Smoking Gun Entertainment as we present an Interactive, online, murder mystery, where the audiences choose the direction of the show. You will be guided through the production by the narrator, who will poll the audience to determine the direction of the next scene. The outcome of the show is in the audiences hands. Join us and see if you can solve the mystery.

This production will be completely online, and is best watched from a computer.

DECEMBER 2020
A Christmas Carol
a radio play by Philip Grecian, Based upon the novel by Charles Dickens

This year’s Christmas family production is the classic story of A Christmas Carol, told as a radio drama onstage, complete with sounds effects and music cues.

We are planning on presenting this production with both a physically distanced audience in the Victor Mitchell Theatre and online (with video, or audio-only options).

FEBRUARY 2021
To be announced at a later date

We are holding off on the announcement of our winter production as we are looking for a show where we can offer both in-person and online viewing options for our audience.

APRIL/MAY 2021
The Pirates of Penzance
by Gilbert & Sullivan

Morpheus Theatre is gathering the cast and crew from our postponed spring 2020 production. We are looking forward to presenting our gender swapped cast with The Pirate Queen, Frederique, Able, and a Matronly Major-General.

While we are planning to present this production to an in-person audience, we will have online viewing available for those unable or uncomfortable returning to the theatre.

TICKETS

ONLINE SHOWS will require one ticket purchased per device streaming the performance. Generally this is one ticket per household.

IN-PERSON SHOWS will require patrons to pre-purchase their tickets so all groups/families may be assigned seats physically distanced from other patrons. In-person shows will require one ticket to be purchased per patron.

Updated ticket policies and safety practices will be published on our website in the upcoming weeks.

SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS

For the 2020/2021 season, Morpheus Theatre will not be selling season subscriptions or flex passes.

Subscribers will also be given the opportunity to purchase tickets for in-person seating before tickets are made available for general sale. Flex passes from the 2019/2020 season may be redeemed for either in-person or online performances.

PRE-PURCHASED TICKETS (The Pirates of Penzance)

All tickets that were purchased for The Pirates of Penzance have automatically been transferred to the new performance dates.
