Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce. Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but Paul and Sally, reporters and former fiancees, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves.
Puss in Boots: a Pantomime

Join us for the purr-fect Pantomime. Poor Jack! His father, the miller, has died and left most of his fortune to Jack’s ne’er-do-well brothers. All Jack gets is a pussycat. But what a pussycat! With Puss’s help, Jack meets and woos a beautiful princess. Her parents, the King and Queen, want a worthy husband for their daughter, so Puss helps win them over, too. But when a nasty ogre claims the princess for his own, everyone is shaken to their boots. Will Puss lead them all to victory? Packed with music, dance, comedy and of course audience participation, Puss in Boots will be your purr-fect accompaniment to your Christmas celebrations, ‘Oh yes it will!’

All the ladies who are “anybody” come to gossip and have their hair done by Truvy in her Chinquapin, Louisiana salon. Sharing their stories, laughs and tears, Steel Magnolias is the much-loved hit play featuring six amazing women who draw upon their strength and love to meet the challenges of life. Part comedy of manners, part heartfelt tearjerker, and featuring non-stop banter and wisecracks, this play about friendship, community, and the power of the human spirit.
The McAdo

A comic operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan

It’s the show you love, in a brand new setting! The Mikado has been moved to the highlands of Scotland and becomes The McAdo. In this adaptation by Gilbert & Sullivan Austin, Gilbert’s libretto and Sullivan’s score has been kept virtually intact, while the costumes will reflect the Scottish moors. It’s a farcical tale of a wand’ring minstrel, a cowardly executioner, an iron-fisted ruler, and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre!
Morpheus G&S Junior Theatre School Program
Morpheus Theatre is pleased to announce that the G&S Junior Theatre School program is returning for it’s 13th Season!
Junior Class: ages 9 to 12 years Senior Class: ages 13 to 17 years
Registration opens to new students June 1st
Both classes will run Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:30 beginning in mid-October. Classes include professional instruction in Acting and Voice and the program will culminate in two youth performances on the set of our mainstage production in the Victor Mitchell Theatre at the Pumphouse Theatre.
