A huge congratulations to our CAT Award nominees and recipients! Each year Calgary-ACTS presents the CAT Awards to celebrate the previous season of Community Theatre Productions and this year Morpheus was nominated 11 times in 9 categories. Morpheus received awards in the following Categories:
- Outstanding Performance by a Supporting in a Play – Nolan Peters as Laurie in Little Women
- Outstanding Performance by a Leading Role in a Play – Stephanie Bessala as Jo in Little Women
- Volunteer Award – James Ravenhill

Production Volunteers needed for It’s a Wonderful Life!
Our Christmas Classic It’s a Wonderful Life is seeking some production volunteers in the following areas! Email our Executive Producer, Colleen Bishop colleen.bishop@gmail.com with your interest and experience!
- Set Design & Construction – This show would be a great challenge for an experienced or eager Set Designer as it includes many scene transitions
- Hair & Makeup – It’s always fun to design a period piece
- Sound Design – It’s a Wonderful Life is based on a movie, so there’s lots of room to flex your creative muscles
- Choreography – Yes there is! One scene only! Perfect for an aspiring Choreographer!

OCT 2 – 10 – A FOX ON THE FAIRWAY
A tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, A Fox On the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp pulling the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics. Dec 11 – 19 – It’s a Wonderful Life – December just doesn’t seem complete without a trip to Bedford Falls and the story of George Bailey, a man who believes in building community and helping your neighbours. When he becomes overwhelmed by one misfortune after another, George almost gives in to despair and then, on Christmas Eve, he meets a special angel on a mission to help George and receive his wings. The timeless message of hope, love and charity is especially warming on winter evenings with family and friends close-by. We hope you and yours will come celebrate this classic piece and this special time with us.
